The Committee Members

What is a Committee

A committee is elected by the members of a community association to continue the work of the association between general meetings.

It is the committee members’ responsibility to make sure that decisions taken at its association’s general meeting are acted on during their year in office.

The committee may also delegate tasks to subcommittees or working groups. It is important that the committee operates within the framework set out in the governing documents of the association.

In order to be effective, the committee needs to have good communication with the members of the association and be able to report back to them on its activities.

Duties of Committee Members

Their job is to make sure the decisions taken by management are in line with what’s best for this company.

They’ll have a hand in every decision and can be held accountable if something goes wrong so they need selflessness, integrity–and maybe even some humor!
